Welcome to "Tablescape Thursday," hosted by Susan, at Between Naps on the Porch. Today, I'm featuring a sideboard tablescape to celebrate the romantic season of Valentine's Day.

"Tea and Cupcakes"...absolutely! Nothing sweet could be more Southern on Valentine's Day than a Red Velvet Southern Belle Cupcake. Pair these with chocolate and hazelnut-infused black tea--"Florence Tea" from Harney Tea for a wonderful afternoon treat.

A romantic sideboard setting...

There's nothing more Southern than red velvet cupcakes...and a cup of tea!

Here are some packages I will be giving as small tokens of love: A cupcake in a "to go" box, chocolate truffles in a small gold bag with a cherub applique' and cherub-motif tissue paper, and a wine-color toile print gift bag to hold a sweet gift of chocolate tea.

Sweet Treats...

If you are into American Idol, you might like the tablescape from my previous post on Tuesday of this week.

Thank you for stopping by and please join in the fun! Stop by Between Naps on the Porch and visit with all the other bloggers who are participating today in Tablescape Thursday.

I hadn't heard of Harney Teas. Need to check them out for certain. I think cupcakes are a splendid idea for Valentine's Day. It provides built in portion control, else I would be prone to overindulge.

I put Florence tea in the search box on the homepage for Harney Teas, and came up with a message that said: There are no search results. Please try again.
What am I doing wrong?

I really like this presentation for Valentine's day and the favors for your guests as well.

I am sooo ready for one of those cupcakes (maybe two :-)) and a cup of that tea. You find the most lovely bags and details. I love the little stands, they look like placecard holders that you put out...wherever did you find them? and the cherub bags? do you mind sharing?
LOVE-ly!

Glenda, Oooops, I thought I had placed a direct link to the page with the chocolate tea. Anyway, when I went to the link, I just typed in "chocolate" or "Florence" under the search bar. It is such a wonderful tea, as are all of the Harney teas:-)

Miss Janice, I love your "Southern-ness" and your lovely post today! The sideboard setting is so pretty! I grew up in South Carolina but I have not lived in the South since I was 13. Still, my sisters and I consider ourselves Southern and we always will! I think its a charm and attitude that you can never leave behind! So glad I have found your blog!

Hi Miss Janice...You are so right! There is nowhere like the South! Sometimes when I was in France, I would be so hungry to hear English spoken...nobody I knew spoke English...and not only spoken, but with a Southern accent! We are a very friendly and welcoming crowd of folks! I couldn't stay away for long! Have a great weekend...Debbie
